The APNIC 48 Fellowship Committee is very pleased to announce that 52 recipients have been awarded an APNIC Fellowship to participate at APNIC 48 in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 5 to 12 September 2019.

The APNIC 48 fellowship group includes the largest ever number of Youth Fellows at an APNIC conference, with 21 selected.  They will be joined by 27 Professional Fellows and 4 Returning Fellows, with the group as a whole representing 19 economies in the APNIC region.

The Fellowship Committee places special emphasis on supporting diversity, with 50% of APNIC 48 fellowships awarded to women from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Philippines, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

The candidates will have the opportunity to learn from international and regional experts, meet industry peers at the conference and networking sessions, and return home with new insights to aid them in their professional development.

APNIC would like to thank its co-supporters of the fellowship program, Google and the Internet Society, for their funding contribution to help allow participants from developing economies to attend APNIC 48.

Thanks go to all those who applied for a fellowship. We encourage unsuccessful applicants to reapply for future conferences.

Congratulations to all the successful fellows! We look forward to seeing you soon in Chiang Mai.

Congratulations to all the fellows selected for APNIC and also to Paul and Sunny to carry out this process of selection with more diversity and inclusivity.
