APNIC participated at the Lao ICT Expo 2018 in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from 24 to 28 January 2018.
The theme of the expo was ‘Towards Digital Transformation’, which aims to grow and develop the ICT industry in Lao PDR. The expo was also co-located with the 6th ASEAN CIO Forum.
APNIC activities
- Pubudu Jayasinghe and Anna Mulingbayan hosted a booth and answered questions on membership and getting IP addresses. They also met with several APNIC Members to discuss their Internet number resourcing queries.
- Pubudu and Anna gave a presentation about connecting to the Internet, Internet penetration in Lao PDR and an introduction to APNIC.
- Following the event, Pubudu and Anna visited the LANIC offices to discuss opportunities for collaboration and training, IPv6 deployment, Technical Assistance and the APNIC Fellowship Program.
