APNIC’s Security Specialist, Adli Wahid, participated at the second CNCERT Annual Conference in Qingdao, China, from 22 to 24 May 2017.
With the theme ‘Industry convergence to promote development, mutual collaboration to build security’, the conference welcomed 900-plus cybersecurity professionals from around the region and the world to discuss emerging cyber threats and collaborative mitigation responses.
A Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams Technical Colloquium (FIRST TC) was also held on 22 May and CNCERT held a second CNCERT International Cooperation Forum on the afternoon of 23 May.
APNIC activities
- At the FIRST TC event, Adli Wahid presented on APNIC’s security outreach and capacity development activities, joining other international speakers from Team Cymru, Siemens, ISC2, HKCERT and the Philippines Government.
- Adli also spoke about the FIRST Community Outreach initiative at the opening session of the CNCERT Conference. Adli has been a member of the FIRST Board of Directors since 2014.
- Adli met several regional and national CERT representatives to discuss future training and information-sharing opportunities.
