APNIC Deputy Director General, Sanjaya, participated at the Indonesian Network Information Centre Open Policy Meeting (IDNIC OPM) in Denpasar, Indonesia, held from 28 to 29 April 2017.
IDNIC holds an OPM twice a year to discuss policies related to IP addresses and other topics relevant to network operators. An outcome from the OPM was a declaration to encourage all Indonesian-based ASNs to advertise their IPv6 prefixes. This effort will be measured at the next OPM later this year.
APNIC activities
- Sanjaya presented an update of APNIC services and activities, including IPv6 deployment measurement information.
- Following the OPM, Sanjaya met with organizations in Jakarta to encourage IPv6 adoption and skills development to build and maintain a secure and reliable Internet in Indonesia.
