The South Asian Network Operators Group held their 29th conference – SANOG 29 – in Islamabad, Pakistan, from 23 to 30 January 2017.

SANOG is a non-profit forum for network operators in South Asia. SANOG 29 was hosted by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and the Pakistan Education & Research Network (PERN).
APNIC activities:
- Pubudu Jayasinghe presented the APNIC regional update, as well as a presentation on IPv6 deployment trends in the region.
- Pubudu was also on hand during the week to answer Members’ and other attendees’ questions regarding resource requirements, fellowships to APNIC conferences, as well as assisting with updating whois details.
