Forty-two fellows from 11 economies have been selected to participate at APRICOT 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
On behalf of the Asia Pacific Internet Association (APIA), we congratulate all 42 successful candidates and thank all those who applied for a fellowship. We encourage all unsuccessful applicants to reapply for future conferences.
The APRICOT fellowship program places special emphasis on supporting diversity in the community, and the Fellowship Committee is pleased to have awarded fellowships to 14 women, from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nepal, Vanuatu and Viet Nam.
The candidates will have the opportunity to learn from international and regional experts, meet new industry peers at the conference and networking sessions, and return home with new insights to aid them in their professional development.
Special thanks go to the supporters of the program, APIA, Google and the Internet Society, for their funding contribution to allow participants from developing economies attend APRICOT 2017. Many thanks also go to the APRICOT Fellowship Committee for their tireless efforts during the selection process.
APRICOT 2017 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam from 20 February to 2 March 2017. I hope to see you there!
