APNIC staff attended GSMA’s 2016 Mobile World Congress held in Shanghai, China.
Mobile World Congress is a large conference and exhibition for the mobile industry, attracting delegates from handset manufacturers, service providers, government, mobile application and content providers, and regulators. It is held twice a year, with the February/March event held in Barcelona, Spain, and the June/July event held in the APNIC region, in Shanghai.
More than 53,000 people attended the three-day conference, held from 29 June to 1 July.
APNIC activities:
- Paul Wilson presented at the Mobile Security Forum on the importance of the Internet of Things (IoT) being IPv6 compatible to be secure and able to grow.
- Paul and Pablo Hinojosa had a series of meetings with GSMA staff to discuss mobile operators and IPv6 transition.
