APNIC participated in the 3rd Meeting of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) preparatory group for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) World Telecommunications Standardisation Assembly 2016 (WTSA-16).
The WTSA is held every four years and defines the next period of study for the telecommunications standardization bureau of the ITU (ITU-T).
The objective of this series of inter-Governmental meetings is to assist the Asia Pacific Member States to prepare for the WTSA in coordinating issues of regional interests and preparing coordinated regional contributions.
The fourth and final preparatory meeting is scheduled for 23 to 26 August 2016 in Da Nang, Vietnam.
APNIC activities:
- APNIC Internet Policy Development Consultant, Adam Gosling, participated in the meeting as an observer and as a resource for delegations interested in understanding the activities of the Internet addressing community.
