APNIC Member Services staff attended CommunicAsia 2015, held in Singapore from 2 to 5 June.
Welcoming over 48,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors from 49 countries, CommunicAsia 2015 cemented its status as one of the region’s largest ICT events with the theme, “Defining What’s Shaping the Future of the Global ICT World”.
APNIC is a regular attendee at CommunicAsia and this year hosted a booth alongside ISOC, APIA and Dot.Asia.
APNIC’s Vivek Nigam, Tom Do and Wita Laksano attended the event and met with several APNIC Members who visited the stand. They also held Hostmaster consultations with Members to discuss their membership and resource queries. The majority of the enquiries were about:
- Getting IPv6 and IPv4 addresses
- IPv4 transfers
- The Member Referral function in MyAPNIC, which allows existing Members to apply for Internet number resources on behalf of their customers
- Creating ROAs using Resource Certification in MyAPNIC
APNIC extends its thanks to all the Members and other visitors who came to the booth. Congratulations also goes to Indra Jayasuriya of Duty Films and Video International, the winner of the lucky prize draw. You can view photos of the event on APNIC’s Flickr page.
