APNIC participated in RIPE 89, held in Prague, Czech Republic from 28 October to 1 November 2024.
The event welcomed 642 participants on site and over 120 participants online for five days of plenary, working group, and policy sessions. View the agenda for more information.
APNIC activities:
- Geoff Huston delivered a pre-recorded presentation titled ‘Is Infrastructure Security an Internet Market Failure?’ during the Opening Plenary session, where he questioned why there has been so much resistance to the adoption of security measures like DNSSEC and RPKI in Internet infrastructure.
- Geoff also gave a pre-recorded presentation during the IPv6 Working Group session where he explored factors contributing to the slow uptake of IPv6.
