APNIC participated in the Asia Pacific Domain Name System Forum (APAC DNS Forum) 2024, held in Bali, Indonesia from 23 to 24 July 2024.

The event was jointly organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia (PANDI) and focused on the theme of ‘Building Bridges: Strengthening Collaboration to Shape the Internet’s Future’. View the program for more information.

APNIC activities:

  • Geoff Huston participated in a panel discussion at the Opening Plenary Session where panellists discussed the challenges and opportunities within the Internet and domain name space.
  • Shane Hermoso moderated and participated as a speaker in the panel discussion on ‘Internet Resiliency and Security in the APAC Region: A Multistakeholder Approach’.
  • Sylvia Cadena participated in panel discussion on ‘Capacity Building in the APAC Region’ and ‘Collectively Fostering Digital Transformation & Inclusion in Asia Pacific’.
  • Shane co-hosted a one-day ‘Train-the-Trainer’ workshop on DNS/DNSSEC along with Champika Wijayatunga (ICANN) and Mohamad Shidiq Purnama (PANDI) for 20 participants on the day before the Forum.
