APNIC participated in the 2024 Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy (APIGA 2024) in Busan, South Korea from 8 to 12 July 2024.
The event focuses on developing future Internet leaders and welcomed 39 participants who took part in skill-building exercises to deepen their understanding of the Internet ecosystem, Internet governance and policy. View the program for more information.
APNIC activities:
- Sunny Chendi hosted an engaging session on ‘How the Internet works’ utilizing the IPGo Game to enhance participants knowledge of IP addressing and networking principles. IPGo was developed into an interactive application in 2023; find out more here.
- Sunny facilitated an APNIC Policy Development Process (PDP) Mock Proposal workshop to give participants a better understanding of APNIC’s PDP. He also facilitated a cybersecurity incident response role play to raise awareness of cybersecurity challenges.
- Blandine Cousins presented an update on APNIC and its role in the Internet ecosystem.
- Sunny was an active member of the Fellowship Committee and a mentor to the Technical group.
