APNIC supported and participated in the MNSEC Conference 2023, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 5 October 2023.

The event welcomed 300 participants to hear from speakers on topics including the effects of large language models on cybersecurity, Mongolia’s IP address reputation and much more. View the agenda for more information. The event also celebrated MNSEC’s 10th anniversary.

APNIC activities:

  • Adli Wahid presented on crypto-mining bots and how the APNIC Honeynet Project is identifying these types of cyberattacks.
  • Adli conducted a half-day tutorial for 30 participants on the APNIC Honeynet Project and using honeypots for intrusion detection. This tutorial was hosted by the Mongolia University of Science and Technology (MUST).
  • Adli also conducted a half-day workshop for MNSEC members on incident response.
