APRICOT 2024 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, and APRICOT 2025 will be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the APNOG Board announced today.

APRICOT 2024 in Bangkok will be held from 21 February to 1 March 2024, with the workshops running from 21 to 23 February, partner meetings 25 to 26 February, and the conference from 27 February to 1 March.

APRICOT 2025 in Dhaka will be held from 18 to 27 February 2025, with the workshops running from 18 to 20 February, partner meetings 22 to 23 February, and the conference from 24 to 27 February.

Further information on both events will be shared soon.

Changes to APRICOT conference rotation

For the past decade, APRICOT and APNIC conferences have rotated around four ‘subregions’ in the Asia Pacific: East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and Oceania. This rotation was only interrupted between 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and conferences were held online only.

Since the resumption of face-to-face conferences, the cost of conference venues and suppliers has risen significantly, and airline travel routes have not recovered to pre-pandemic levels.  To provide greater flexibility to choose locations and manage costs, the APNOG Board has opted to take a looser approach to rotating the location of APRICOT. This means that APRICOT will still move around the region in future, but it will not strictly follow the previous subregional rotation.

APNIC’s September conferences will continue to follow the published rotation, with APNIC 58 to be held in New Zealand and APNIC 60 in the South East Asia subregion.

We are looking forward to bringing APRICOT to Bangkok and Dhaka – I hope to see you there!
