At today’s Annual General Meeting, APNIC announced it intends to hold a face-to-face component of APNIC 54 in September 2022. This will be the first physical, in-person APNIC conference since APNIC 49 in March 2020 (held in Melbourne, Australia, in conjunction with APRICOT 2020).
APNIC 54 will provide full online participation support for all remote delegates to ensure that both those attending in-person and those attending online receive the best possible conference experience.
The location for APNIC 54 will be chosen for convenience to the majority of the APNIC community (and consider any travel restrictions due to COVID-19) and will be announced in the coming weeks.
The usual ‘rotation‘ of the location of APRICOT and APNIC conferences has been suspended since the start of the pandemic, but a decision to restart it will be considered by APNOG and APNIC in the coming months. When the conference rotation restarts, the first face-to-face APRICOT will be held in Manila, Philippines.
More information on APNIC 54 will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Fellowship applications are now open until 25 March 2022.
