APNIC participated in the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cyberdrill 2020 (ITU Global CyberDrill 2020) series of events held from 15 September to 30 November 2020.
The ITU holds annual CyberDrills to help test an organization’s cyber capabilities, from being able to detect a security incident to the ability to respond appropriately and minimize any related impact.
APNIC activities:
- Paul Wilson spoke at the ‘Regional Dialogue on Securing Critical National Infrastructures’ session on the work APNIC is doing in the area of cybersecurity and its response to COVID-19.
- Adli Wahid participated as a panellist in the ‘Cyber Crisis Management Planning’ webinar on 28 October 2020. Adli shared information from four different types of cybersecurity exercises in the Asia Pacific region, and the importance of increasing cybersecurity preparedness.
- Adli also participated as a panellist in the ‘National CIRT, Measuring and Improving Maturity’ webinar, sharing information about APNIC’s engagement with CERTs in the region, and the importance of collaboration.
