APNIC supported and participated at the Samoan IT Association (SITA) IT Security Seminar in Apia, Samoa, from 27 to 28 February 2020.

The goal of the seminar was to strengthen and build awareness of digital security in Samoa, and promote ways to secure data communication and network infrastructure.

APNIC activities:

  • Adli Wahid conducted a workshop on ‘Strengthening Digital Security’ to around 60 participants on security basics and case studies, including a hands-on phishing exercise and discussion on how to run security awareness programs.
  • Adli also participated as a panellist in a discussion on topics held during the conference, including cyber attacks, setting up a CERT, and security when deploying databases.
