To better serve the training requirements of our Members in Afghanistan, APNIC is pleased to announce a special two-hour Network Security Fundamentals eLearning webinar on Tuesday, 5 March 2019 from 14:30 to 16:30 (UTC +10).

The session will focus on key network security concepts and best practices and further examine network device and infrastructure security in different layers. Participants will learn about:

  • Goals of Information Security
  • Attacks on different layers
  • TCP and other common types of attacks
  • Trusted networks
  • Access control
  • Crytography
  • VPN and IPSec
  • Internet security protocols
  • Security management

Registration is open now. A basic understanding of network operations is required. You will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the webinar upon successful registration.

This session is arranged following a survey of our Members in Afghanistan regarding their training needs, and it is at a time to suit Afghanistan.
