The APNIC Foundation’s Sylvia Cadena participated at the Stockholm Internet Forum (SIF 2017) from 15 to 18 May 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Organized by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), the Forum brought together 500-plus policymakers and representatives from civil society, business and the technical community from around the world to share information and discuss Internet development, security, openness, and human rights. The theme for SIF 2017 was the ‘connections between access and power’.

APNIC activities

  • Sylvia presented at the Open SIF session on building cybersecurity expertise in the Asia Pacific region by fostering and supporting the development of CERTs at a national level. A video of this presentation is available to view.

  • Sylvia also met Seed Alliance representatives — supported by Sida from 2012 to 2015 — to discuss coordination activities between ISIF Asia, FRIDA, and FIRE.
