Event Wrap: BdNOG 3

The Bangladesh Network Operators Group (BdNOG 3) held their third event in Dhaka from 18 to 23 May 2015.

BdNOG brings together ICT-based professionals in Bangladesh to share operational experience and current best practice information and provide training opportunities to help with Internet growth in their economy.

Since its inception, BdNOG has been a popular event with excellent attendance and visibility in the ICT sector. This conference was also well attended with 235 participants and the workshop sessions were filled to capacity.

APNIC activities:

  •  Tuan Nguyen presented on Resource Origin Authorization (ROA) creation and noted that currently Bangladesh is leading global ROA creation at almost 25%.
  • Tuan presented on IPv4 transfers, outlining the important information that network operators need to know.

  • Blandine Cousin presented on APNIC 42, which will be held in Dhaka from 8 to 15 September 2016.
  • Nurul Islam helped conduct the Advanced Routing and BGP workshop session with the assistance of Matsuzaki Yoshinobu (IIJ), Sumon Ahmed Sabir (Fiber@Home), F M Rashed, Amin Biddut (Link3), and Simon Sohel Baroi (Fiber@Home).
