Worth catching at APRICOT: Jon Brewer on Monday APOPS

I had the pleasure of seeing Jon Brewer present at NZNOG as mentioned in this recent post. Jon’s talk was so entertaining we voted it one of the best of NZNOG and sent it in to the APRICOT program committee.

He is presenting at APRICOT 2015 APOPS Plenary today at 16:00 – 17:30 (UTC+9).

It’s well worth watching if you can make it: he uses Google mapping to display the dilemma of distance in the Pacific Island communities and tells a compelling story about how people actually experience network delay from distant locations into the core Internet services.
