It’s fitting that APNIC 56 — coinciding with APNIC’s 30th Anniversary — returns to Japan where it all started. During special celebrations of this milestone, APNIC is honouring major contributors from the Japanese community and broader Internet operations communities.
As APNIC Director General Paul Wilson wrote, since its inception in 1992 operating from a small Tokyo office with just three people and a spreadsheet, APNIC has now expanded into a thriving community of nearly 24,000 organizations spanning 56 economies committed to “a global, open, stable, and secure Internet”.
The APNIC community has benefitted greatly from various languages, cultures, viewpoints, and input, which are reflected in the video below.
