APNIC supported and participated in PhNOG 2023, held from 10 to 14 July in Makati, Philippines.
The event welcomed around 300 participants to hear from speakers on topics including peering and connectivity, cybersecurity, and automation.
APNIC activities:
- Paul Wilson gave a welcome address, noting the support from PhNOG to increase RPKI ROA coverage in the Philippines through local outreach.
- Shane Hermoso helped moderate the PhNOG BoF, held for the first time. Topics discussed included peering, best current practices, and nurturing the next generation of Internet professionals.
- Shane also conducted the BGP and IPv6 tutorial (39 attendees) and RPKI and DNSSEC tutorial (37 attendees) alongside APNIC Community Trainer, Liezel Manangan.
- Shane met with APNIC Members and shared information on further training opportunities, and deploying RPKI and IPv6.
