APNIC participated in the IPv6 Community Event, held on 8 June 2023 in Nuku’alofa, Tonga.
The event was organized by the Tonga Communications Corporation (TCC) on the importance of IPv6 deployment.
APNIC activities:
- Tuan Nguyen presented an update on IPv6 capability in Tonga.
- Tuan also participated in a panel discussion, which covered the benefits of IPv6, the steps required to implement IPv6, routing security, DNS, and IPv6 and IPv6 training.
- Tuan met with APNIC Members to answer their questions on IPv6 deployment.
- Terry Sweetser presented (remotely) a technical overview of IPv6.
- Sylvia Cadena, from the APNIC Foundation, participated remotely to congratulate TCC on their upcoming IPv6 deployment. TCC received an IPv6 grant from ISIF Asia in 2022.
