APNIC participated at the GFCE Pacific Regional Meeting 2020 in Melbourne, Australia, from 17 to 19 February 2020.
The GFCE meeting was held alongside the 2020 Global Cybersecurity Capacity Building (GCSC) Conference. At the same time, there was also an invitation-only capacity-building workshop for Pacific stakeholders, which APNIC attended.
At the GFCE meeting there were roundtable discussions and exercises with donors, program implementors, and program beneficiaries sharing information on coordination and collaboration activities for positive and sustainable capacity building in the Pacific. It was a unique space for APNIC as partners to the GFCE to engage with multiple donors, implementors, and our Pacific Members at the same time.
APNIC activities:
- Adli Wahid delivered the ‘From Plans to Practice’ APNIC session at the GCSC capacity-building workshop, focusing on the journey and lessons learned in capacity building for the Pacific.
- Melody Bendindang and Pablo Hinojosa shared information on capacity-building work APNIC has conducted in the Oceania region at the GFCE meeting.
