APNIC participated at the Lao ICT Expo 2019 in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from 26 to 30 June 2019.
The theme of the expo was ‘Towards Digital Transformation’, aiming to grow and develop the ICT industry in Lao PDR.
APNIC activities:
- Pubudu Jayasinghe and Zen Ng hosted a booth and answered attendee questions on membership and getting IP addresses. They also met with several APNIC Members to discuss their Internet number resourcing queries.
- Zen gave a presentation to explain the benefits of portable IP addresses from APNIC and discuss Lao PDR’s future network plans.
- Following the event, Pubudu and Zen met with LANIC representatives to discuss opportunities for collaboration and training, and advice for a possible NOG for Lao PDR.
