APNIC’s Pubudu Jayasinghe participated at the second Lanka Network Operators Group (LKNOG 2) in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 1 to 2 November 2018.

Following on from a successful LKNOG 1 in 2017, LKNOG 2 was held in collaboration with Cyber Security Week 2018 and welcomed more than 100 network operators from Sri Lanka and neighbouring economies to discuss operational issues on topics including SDN, MANRS and IXP establishment and participate in capacity-building workshops on ‘Network Monitoring’ and ‘DNS and Cloud Security’.
APNIC activities:
- Pubudu presented ‘Robust and Secure Connections; Multi-homed and ROA validated!’ on securing the BGP with RPKI.
- APNIC fully supported the LKNOG 2 social event and also helped support Cyber Security Week 2018.
- Pubudu also took the opportunity to meet with Members to discuss their membership and IP address needs.

Yes It was very nicely went , Most of the participants concern was that they need 5 days boot camp type technical work shop. they said we learnt plenty in one day ,what if we can add more days where we will be learning more. We ( LKNOG) promised that next LKNOG will be many technical sessions with Local and International Trainers .
