APNIC participated in the Asia Regional G7 24/7 High Tech Crime Network Point of Contact Workshop from 31 July to 3 August 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The workshop was organized by the US Department of Justice on behalf of the G7 High Tech Crime Subgroup. The workshop introduced 38 participants — including representatives from 13 Asia Pacific economies — to the functions of the G7 24/7 High Tech Crime Network. The workshop covered topics including international cooperation, digital forensics, cybercrime and the Budapest Convention.

Participants at the High Tech Crime Network Point of Contact Workshop represented 13 Asia-Pacific economies.

As part of the proceedings, Craig Ng gave a presentation on Regional Internet Registry and whois.
