APNIC participated in the 2nd meeting of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity’s (APT) PP18 Preparatory Group (APT PP18-2) from 30 January to 1 February 2018 in Hanoi, Viet Nam.
PP18-2 is the second in a series of four meetings organized to prepare regional positions ahead of the International Telecommunications Union’s Plenipotentiary Conference (ITU PP-18).
The highest policy-making body of the ITU, the Plenipotentiary Conference 2018 will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from Monday, 29 October to Friday, 16 November 2018.
The objective of the APT preparatory process is to assist the Asia Pacific Member States to prepare for PP-18 and to coordinate the formation of regional positions and contributions.
APNIC activities:
- Adam Gosling represented APNIC as an Affiliate Member of the APT. He participated in the meeting as a resource for delegations interested in understanding the activities of the Internet addressing community.
