#YestoIANA! Community takes responsibility for IANA functions

In case you missed the news yesterday, the IANA functions successfully transitioned to the Internet community when the United States government allowed the IANA functions contract to expire.

It was an important milestone in the history of the Internet – and one that will be celebrated at APNIC 42 in Colombo this week.  A big thanks goes to everyone in the community who contributed towards this historic day.  Enjoy some of the reaction from around the world below!
