As the Chair of the APNIC Executive Council (EC), I want to invite you to participate in an important community consultation on proposed amendments to the APNIC By-laws. These amendments respond to community feedback received at APNIC 58 and include:
- Extending EC members’ terms from two to three years.
- Introducing term limits of three terms for EC members.
Your input is essential. The EC will carefully consider all feedback before finalizing the proposed changes, with an APNIC Member vote intended for APNIC 60 in September 2025.
How to get involved
An online consultation session will be conducted, which is open to all:
- Monday, 7 April 2025, 14:00 (UTC +10) — Register here
You are also encouraged to share your views on the proposed amendments to the by-laws on the APNIC-Talk list on Orbit.
Deadline for contributions
Please share your feedback by 18 April 2025. Whether through a consultation session or APNIC-Talk, your voice matters in shaping these important governance changes.
For full details and to register, visit bylaws.apnic.net.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
