APNIC participated in the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board (UN INCB) — Expert Group Meeting on Drug Trafficking series of meetings, held online from 30 June to 1 July and 7 to 8 July 2020.
INCB held the online expert group meeting on the trafficking of dangerous substances through social media and other Internet-related services, with the aim of promoting public-private partnerships and strengthening practitioners’ networks.
APNIC activities:
- On behalf of the Number Resource Organization Public Safety Coordination Group, Jamie Gillespie gave a presentation on how the Internet registry system operates, in particular, focusing on the publicly available information in the APNIC Whois Database, and how APNIC cooperates and engages with Law Enforcement Agencies.
