APNIC participated at RIPE 74, held in Budapest, Hungary, from 8 to 12 May 2017.
RIPE 74 welcomed 629 attendees, including 145 first-time attendees from 60 economies in the RIPE region. Internet service providers, network operators and other interested parties from around the world gather at RIPE meetings to participate in Internet number resource policy discussions and contribute to RIPE Working Group sessions on current technical issues.
APNIC activities
- Geoff Huston presented on the ‘Internet of Stupid Things‘ at the Plenary session on Tuesday, 9 May, on the issues related to IoT security, stability and privacy.
- George Odagi met with RIPE NCC operations staff to discuss registry and service improvements, share experiences and gauge future collaboration opportunities.
