AusNOG is a community of network operators who work in ISPs, Content Providers, or other areas of the Internet industry in Australia. AusNOG 2014 was held in Sydney, Australia on 4 September.

 

APNIC staff activities included:

  • Geoff Huston presented “What’s so special about the number 512″.
  • Elly Tawhai presented the APNIC update

 

  • Met with participants and answered question about IPv4 address space, specifically, how to apply for additional IPv4 address space from the recovered pool and how to transfer address space
  • Spoke with community members about APNIC Member benefits and referrals, letting them know that there is a referral mechanism within MyAPNIC
