Terry Sweetser at the Introduction to IPv6 workshop.

APNIC supported and participated in Everything Open 2024, held in Gladstone, Australia from 16 to 18 April 2024.

The conference focused on open technologies and covered a range of topics, including Linux, open source software, open hardware, open data, open government, and open GLAM.

APNIC activities:

  • Geoff Huston delivered a keynote presentation titled ‘The Evolution of the Internet’, which explored how the rise of content distribution networks and the model of content and service replication has brought about massive changes to the Internet’s architecture and what it means to the future evolution of the Internet.
  • Terry Sweetser and guest speaker Rob Thomas conducted the ‘RPKI Routing Security’ workshop.
  • Terry and guest speaker Craig Askings conducted an ‘Introduction to IPv6’ workshop.
