Nominations are now open for technical community candidates to serve on the 2017 Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), which helps develop the program and schedule for the Internet Governance Forum.

The purpose of the MAG is to advise the United Nations Secretary-General on the program and schedule of the Internet Governance Forum meetings. The MAG comprises 55 members from governments, the private sector and civil society, including representatives from the academic and technical communities.

Individuals interested in being suggested by a nominating committee convened by ISOC are invited to complete the nomination form and return it to information.itcg@gmail.com by 23:59 (UTC) on Thursday, 8 December 2016.

Potential funding for MAG members (selected applicants) is available through the IGF “Participant funding” program, however, this program is targeted only towards participants from Least Developed Countries, Developing Countries or Transitional Economies.
