If you are interested in participating in Internet governance, a great opportunity to make your voice heard has presented itself in the form of the Cross Community Working Group (CCWG) on Enhancing ICANN Accountability.

The CCWG-Accountability have called for public comment (open now until 23:59 UTC 3 June 2015) on the proposed enhancements to ICANN’s accountability framework to happen or be committed to before the IANA Stewardship Transition takes place (Work Stream 1).

The work the CCWG-Accountability is doing will fundamentally inform ICANN’s organizational governance and operation should the IANA functions be transitioned from the NTIA when the current contract expires in September this year.

Your input will shape the outcome, help the group improve its proposal and carry on with next steps before it is submitted to the ICANN Board.

The public comment page can be found here.

Coinciding with the public comment, the CCWG-Accountability has announced two (identical) Webinars detailing their draft proposal:

ICANN has also published a new and very helpful animated video on the IANA Stewardship Transition.
