Many of you are already aware of APNIC’s e-Learning sessions. There are a variety of topics offered – DNS, IPv6, Network Security, Routing and Internet Resource Management. They are free and you can access them from the comfort of your bedroom office!

APNIC recently added a new e-learning course,  eSEC05: Introduction to Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs).  It was offered for the first time on the 3rd of December 2014 and the exciting bit about  this was it was my first time doing an E-Learning session for APNIC!

Personally it was an interesting experience simply because I have never taught a course online before! So it was quite strange in the beginning to speak to a computer, by yourself. The session went well despite a minor technical glitch at the beginning.

We had an overwhelming response and  I’d like to thank all of the  31 participants from all over the Asia Pacific region who tuned into the session. You guys were part of history, woot!

Our training team has put up the video recording on APNIC’s Youtube channel. You can also grab the slides here. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

And please do check out our training website and sign-up for the next e-learning sessions.
